How to cover post acne marks & redness

From personal experience I can definitely say acne whether it is severe or not is one of the most difficult things to deal with and definitely takes a toll on ones self esteem. I will never forget how horrible it made me feel about myself and the worst part was no matter how many times I researched  how to get rid of it or spent countless amounts of money on different products everything failed. I had pretty good skin my whole life until I was around 18 and my face literally flipped out on me. I had pretty bad skin for about a year and a half after that but it has now finally gotten better. Trust me it is  nowhere near perfect, I still get  random spots which I absolutely hate but what can you do. I have very fair skin so whenever I got a pimple it always left a pesky red mark behind. I am always experimenting with different products to help get rid of those but those things are not easy to get rid of. So for now I am just focusing on covering them and finding products that do that job efficiently.

**IMPORTANT

Do NOT forget to moisturize since this helps the foundation go on much smoother as well as just have a overall better finish.
Do NOT forget to put SPF on because we don't want these red marks getting worse. Wearing spf is going to help make sure the sun isn't deepening those marks making them harder to get rid of and more permanent.

The first product I use is a primer. This step is something I think is extremely important in keeping the redness covered since throughout the day your foundation does tend to rub off naturally. Having a primer is going to help it stay on longer so you don't have to keep reapplying it. This Makeup Forever  primer is one of my favorite primers because it smoothes out my skin and really does help my foundation stay on longer.

This foundation is one I have talked about before and it is the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. This is honestly one of the best foundations I have tried and it really works for my skin. It does a great job at covering redness and since I am so pale I've got a whole lot of it! This foundation also has  a powerful staying power and will last you almost an entire day without budging.

This concealer has quickly become one of my favorites. I was in love with the Nars creamy concealer but I felt like that ran out so quickly. This Estee Lauder concealer lasts me a long time and does a great job at covering any spots or even under eye circles.

The last face product I use is the Lancome Dual Finish powder which is another one of my favorites. If you are looking for a bit more coverage or just a great powder this is the one for you. If the foundation doesn't hide the red marks this powder will. This product is something that is also really easy to take with you and reapply since it is a compact powder. I do have normal to dry skin so I haven't had a problem with this looking oily throughout the day which is another plus.
